On Saturday 29th October, Trixie returned to Summerhill Park in Hartlepool to support a fundraising event for NeoAngels, a charity which supports families of sick and premature babies on the Neonatal Units at the University Hospitals of North Tees and James Cook.

The team arrived bright and early to give time for setting up and for making good use of the cafe facilities available on site. Sadly, the weather wasn’t on our side and it was particularly wet so the footfall for this event was much lower than anticipated. However, we still took some parent-child pairings for rides around the newly opened cycle track, spent some time talking with Manilla Cycling, who are a road cycling club based in Hartlepool and offer cycling training around the cycle track at Summerhill Park.

We would like to thank everyone who supported the event, including the local fire brigade who managed a brief visit to the event, the team at NeoAngels for welcoming us to their event and took time to talk at length about the work that they do supporting families, the staff at the cafe for keeping us fed, watered and warm and the team at Manilla Cycling for their time and advice.
