On Friday 23rd December, Team Trixie donned some festive attire and visited Allington House Care Home in Billingham to take their residents out for a spin around the local area.
We arrived promptly and turned on all of Trixie’s twinkling lights. They don’t stand don’t so much in the day time but the sky was a bit grey and dull so the lights could be seen, if you looked hard enough!
Our first passengers were very eager to climb aboard and we were soon off on our first ride along Marsh House Avenue, waving to passing vehicles and wishing passers by a very merry Christmas. Passing vehicles of all kinds were tooting their horns while the passengers were smiling and waving at Trixie and co. While Trixie’s passengers perfected their ‘Royal wave’.
Over the course of the morning, we had the pleasure of taking out 16 passengers, including residents, staff members and family members, for a ride around the local area, spreading festive cheers and putting smiles on people’s faces.
Huge thanks to the team at Allington House. We had a wonderful morning with you all and look forward to seeing you all again in 2023!

Great day back at Allington house Billingham with Trixie.the smiles on the residents faces and staff members makes it all worthwhile and that is what it’s all about.
