On Thursday 18th August, Trixie was out visiting staff Allington House in Billingham, to take residents and staff our for a ride and feel the wind in their hair.
Although some residents were unsure at first, once we were out on our trishaw adventure you couldn’t miss the smiles and joy on their faces and that makes you smile too, knowing that you are able to provide such a joyful, engaging experience. The staff had just as much fun on the rides as the residents did, waving at passing cars and people out for a walk. Quite a few members of staff came out to find out what was going on on so we had to take them for a quick spin to thank them for all of their hard work. We even took out a dog! Did you know that Trixie is dog friendly? You do now!
Our oldest passenger of the day was 90 years young and although she wasn’t convinced before boarding, I think we just about managed to win her over by the end of the ride!
It was yet another great day out for Trixie Trishaw, McChadwick the minibus and the CWAStockton team in Billingham. There are definitely far worse ways to spend an afternoon!
